    Hi,
Has anyone any experience with this website? Hi, I have been trying to get in contact with Tradesman.ie as the tradesman I paid a deposit for is now uncontactable. I paid 30 euro for the service and I have sent messages to tradesman.ie but no one has yet got back to me, the service has been very poor so far and I would like a refund but there are no contact details, just a form to complete, which I have completed but no one ever gets back.

My advice is to avoid this website, I should have opened the Golden Pages and saved myself money and stress, the job would have been completed by now if I had. Now I just feel like I have been fleeced. The tradesman who did initially contact me was not a specialist in floors despite my request under the 'flooring specialist' category.

I would like to hear from anyone else who has had dealings with this website or if anyone has any advice how I should complain and report this website as rogue traders.
    Thanks in advance.

It used to be a free service. Now you pay them for the privilege of getting 3 quotes.

It is free to the customer but a tradesman has to pay a monthly or yearly free to be a member. When a customer asks for a quotation the tradesman pays to quote you to get your contract details.

Good tradesman doesn't need to pay such sites, he is booked for weeks. It is nothing but a magnet for butchers...

Do you not have to pay a fee to speak directly to the tradesman?

If you paid by credit card, request a charge back.

If you are starting out you have to start somewhere. At least it is not 400euros and just 30euro. Many many years ago my husband was signed up when it first set up. They changed the pricing structure he did not renew. Having to pay for credits to get client no.s just did not work for him. Once he did not renew he got a call " we have work for you..what was your trade again?" Salesman was not great at the time.
Looked back on emails now this is a few years old. and I have 01 4877380.
105 media cube, kill avenue, dun loaghaire, Dublin.

I think they have someone answering the phones part time but not sure.
If they have put you in the wrong category then you will have to keep emailing then.
Some people sent up a Facebook page and pay advertising on banner there. Word of mouth is the best why to get business if you are starting out. Also local group pages is another one.
It really depends on the trade.

I know The tradesman pays for your details. I am not sure if it the same the other way around. The pricing structure could have changed. Don't know about potential customer.
