I have a small sheepdog about  5 years old, great temperament. of energy, goes for runs with me, helping out on the farm etc.
Knows her boundries and does not even try to set foot in the house.
My brother and family moving home from Australia with a small house dog who is very domesticated and will in the house. Its his pride and joy.
How do I manage this so that my dog will mix with the new dog?
My biggest fear is that she will hurt this small house dog. However not in her temperament.

You said twice in your post that your dog has a good temperment, so you will probably have nothing to worry about. How is your dog with other/new dogs in general?

As with all new introductions, just make sure that the visitor dog is supervised at all times while with the resident dog. Dont feed them near each other, in case food causes a spark. Remove any precious toys if they are together. Is the visitor dog a bitch or dog? Is your dog neutered? the visitor dog?

I'd put both dogs on their leashes, and walk out with them, checking for any issues. After that, if all going well, they will hopefully be good friends very quickly. As always, supervise until you are confident they're ok together

    I can't see any issues.

Dogs very quickly work out the temperament of other dogs and will also work out if you are welcoming to that dog and once the new dog does not become your favourite, the sheepdog will be fine.
