Are there any legitimate free apps used to free up internal storage space on Android? Preferably one that's not a virus in disguise? :P Thank you.

Samsung has it's own "Device Maintenance" app in the settings that does this. But you might want to look at removing stuff off the internal storage by uninstalling apps or just disabling others that you don't use.

    Thanks very much.

I'm familiar with 'Device Maintenance' on my Android, however I'm still running into trouble when it comes to downloading new apps from PlayStore, etc.
Tried literally everything - clearing cache and data on all my installed apps, moving apps to SD card storage from phone memory, but still running into trouble in 'Internal Storage memory low'
My phone has an 8GB internal memory with a 32 GB SD card installed.

Are there any legitimate apps to free up internal storage memory?

8GB is very little when you take in to account the Android Operating System as well as the pre-installed bloat that comes with Samsung.

There will be apps that promise to get rid of temporary files, I've used Ccleaner for android and SD Maid but they would only free up a miniscule amount of space.

Best method I've found is to disable apps that you would never use (Settings - Apps).

You can try to format the SD as internal, but back up the card first as this will remove all the data that's currently on it (depending on your Android version).

Does disabling apps delete them from the phone? (Sorry if this is a silly question) or does it just 'hide' them?

Hides them until you enable it again.

So far I've 3plus, chrome, google drive, duo, excel, facebook, game launcher, onedrive, google photos, powerpoint, samsung health, skype, three apcloud, word and youtube disabled.

Can you give me step by step instruction on how to disable some of my apps?

Swipe down, tap the 'gear' icon at the top right to go in to settings. Scroll down to apps which will list all the ones installed. Tap on the app you want and tap "Disable" and "force stop".
