What’s the maximum number of circuits a standard domestic RCD can have fitted?

Looking at getting my board upgraded as part of some renovations.

    Thanks

According to the regulations: For an instantaneous shower, one and for socket circuits there is no limit. However as more and more is connected to a given RCD the likelihood of nuisance tripping increases. Also in the event of an issue on a circuit protected by an RCD the more circuits the larger the impact.

Obviously the best and most expensive solution is an RCBO (combined RCD and MCB in a single unit) per circuit is best.
