    Hi,

I'm wondering about if it's possible to re-mortgage my house to free funds to do Surrogacy. I understand the normal underwriting criteria apply, but assuming these are met/passed, would BOI accept that the family want to use the funds to go through the Surrogacy process, as a permissible/allowable reason to be able to able to re-mortgage?

    Thanks.

    Hi razors_edge_9,

Thanks for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

An Equity Release can be considered for the purpose of medical expenses, this would be subject to lending criteria. If you contact our Mortgage Specialists they can assess your eligibility for an equity release. You can use the form here to request a call back.

If we can help with anything else, please let us know.

    Tara
