    Dear Sir/Madam,

    What is your policy regarding the forcing of fixing of long term water leaks on a private property?

    Yours sincerely,
    Tow.

    When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

    Hi Tow,

    We are working on upgrading the infrastructure and we are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the public water mains and waste water mains. If you have a leak that you believe falls under our remit, please send the below details via PM. If you have a leak on private property, we advise that you contact an accredited plumber.

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact number.

    Thanks,
    Allanah

    Dear Allanah,

    Or to put the question in another way.

    Water is flowing out of a private property, across the public foot path and down the road until it goes down a nearby drain.  It has been leaking for months and no attempt has been made to stop it.  It was reported to Irish Water, who will not fix it as it is on private property.  The property is a small block of flats, the owner/management has shown no interest in fixing it.

    In such situations, what steps will Irish Water take to insure the leak is fixed?

    Yours sincerely,
    Tow

    This might be within the remit of the EPA or the council: http://www.epa.ie/enforcement/report/
