Puppy dog food

Apologies if this has been asked to death and perhaps the mods can remove if needs be but we have a new Jack Russel Puppy. We have had a Jack Russel before and we fed him very happily on Pedigree Chum food for all 15 years we had him and in hindsight its not the best food to be giving a dog. Its very cheap and crap ingredients so I want to start this dog off right (she doesnt have a name yet)

We have picked up some Gain Kindness samples in Petstop which seems to have good quality ingredients and meat content but the blasted food is too big for her small mouth so we have been breaking it into smaller pieces to feed her.

Nutritional analysis is:
Crude Protein: 30%, Fat content 18% Crude Ash 8% Crude Fibers 3% Calcium 1.6%, Phosphorous 1% and Omega 3 0.8%

I have also picked up a small bag of Red Mills Go Nature food. Its a smaller bite and also grain free and reasonably priced, cheaper then the Gain but same style and ingredients.

Anyone any feedback, experience or suggestions?

What age is he? As soon as my puppies, also terriers, are a few months old I put them on adult food. If you find Gain suits you, the adult small dog has small pieces.
