compliance certificate

    Hi buying a house that may not have compliance certificate will this be a problem,hate these delays hopefully the ones buying our house will not back out because of the time waiting. Been 7 weeks how long does it normally take to complete from going sale agreed

    How long depends on what your survey has shown up, what the vendor is willing to address in the survey etc. Stuff like planning retention, or more major regulation issues. Compliance certificate will be an issue if you require a mortgage to buy the property, as the bank will require evidence of compliance from your solicitor. We had to get our solicitor to request the vendor to obtain it for our purchase to go through.
