Does anyone know how to contact the Tax Appeals Commision? Their website has a notice dated 19th June that they are moving location and that their phone line, 01- 6624530, is not working and despite emailing them twice on info@taxappeals.ie I have yet to receive a reply, automated or not. Its been over a week since the first email, and I have checked spam etc. but nothing.

Which Government Dept has oversight of the TAC?

    Seems timely,

    https://www.irishexaminer.com/ireland/thousands-of-backlogs-at-tax-appeals-commission-472478.html

They currently have no working telephone due to the move and emails tend to go unanswered for long periods if at all. They have 14.5 staff to deal with 4,500+ cases on hand

TAC is an independent statutory body. The commissioners are answerable to the Minister for Finance for their conduct but are otherwise independent in accordance with the legislation that established them.

Well now that is typically Irish! Thanks for that article Daxve, looks like I'll be waiting a while for any sort of reply. I'll contact the Dept of Finance and try and get some sort of acknowledgement of communications. The TAC website is completely useless, it would appear you can "register" but you then get stuck in a loop of errors and can't actually do anything.

I'm lodging a second stage VRT appeal and the Revenue website says:
You must send your appeal within 30 days after the date of notification of the first stage by completing and submitting a Notice of Appeal form to the TAC.

I've done this by email, twice, but have no idea if its been received or not!

Any suggestions as to how to proceed are most welcome

Last year I exchanged correspondence with the Secretary of the Tax Appeals Commission using the following email address:- emma.geraghty@taxappeals.ie I suggest that you give her a try.
