    I am about to start building some small cabins for glamping/leisure purposes. Although I required planning permission they are not dwellings so there is no compliance documentation.

    Should I use the CN without documentation or the Opt-out declaration?


    Its a bit confusing.

    you can only opt out if your building an extension over 40 sq m or a new stand alone one off dwelling.

    from what youre describing it sounds like you have to have to engage the full bells and whistles of assigned certifier etc as its a commercial enterprise.

    the ultimate person who can answer this is your local authority building control office.
