Has the Ostan Gweedore hotel reopened? I know it closed a couple of years ago. I have seen ads for a new Gweedore Court Hotel and wondered if it is the same place with a new name.

Nope, still closed and falling apart. The gweedore court hotel is An Cuairt, and has been there for years.

This popped up last year, very sad to see the shape of the old ostan. Hard to believe i was in a wedding in that place only 10 yrs ago, and its only been closed 5-6.

Such a shame to see the state the Ostan is in, no doubt its in worse shape now as a couple of years have passed since them photos were taken.

I heard the place has been boarded up since as young ones were using it as a drinking den and there was fear that someone could drown in the swimming pool.

Unfortunately I think it is beyond repair now it would probably be easier and cheaper to knock it but what a place it was on a nice day sitting on the balcony with a cold pint!
