Since I was a child my mother and aunts have been "guaranteeing" good weather with this.

Tomorrow I go to my aunt Ellen's and break that lump of plaster...

I think one or other of you has twisted the Child of Prague Good Weather thing. It was for no rain on a wedding day if left out in the garden of the bride the night before. I doubt there's one left out every night in today's Ireland.

    It’s Jesus.

No it isn't. A graven image .. a lump of mass produced plaster.. .... pagan superstition. forbidden in Old and New Testaments. Shudders...One of the worst sides of Catholicism

Over and out from me on this,

Not forbidden by Catholicism. Or lots of Christian churches. Not that I’m a believer.

Generally it’s fanatical religions that tend to be iconoclastic.

It's in the King James Bible - but that's for protestants, so doesn't count.

"Blessed are the rain-sodden and the windswept for verily verily I tell thee that they shall be bestowed the kingdom of searing sun".

    I know my bible.
