Cheapest way of commuting from bayside to Shankill

    Hi everyone,
    I am starting a job in Shankill and will be getting the Dart from bayside to Shankill everyday. What’s the cheapest way of making this commute leap card, monthly pass, or yearly pass? I’m not from Dublin so any advice is appreciated.

    does your new employer facilitate a taxsaver ticket?

    i guess they would. if you're getting the dart daily, a taxsaver ticket is probably the cheapest way.

    They most likely are, but if you have to go through peoplepoint, they only process applications in June and December mormally.

    They facilitate tax saver tickets for teachers anyway. But they only process them once a year, it’s around November. You could probably use monthly tickets until then.

    Teachers payroll is separate to that of the department's staff. OP, are you a teacher or a civil servant?

    I’m a teacher. They have different payrolls for department staff, primary teachers, post primary teachers, SNAs etc

    Even if it wasn't the cheapest, the DART is still the best way as your almost door to door, i can't think of any other route (bar cycling) that will not mean swapping over and pretty slow overall. Both DART stations are also early enough on the line to get a seat both ways typically.
