    Hi

Can anyone give me a guide price on what I should expect to pay to get airtighness membranes / tapes installed in a new build bungalow.

Going for 150mm cavity pumped with bead
400mm attic insulation. Attic area is 160 Sqm

So I am looking for guide price to install membrane (fully taped) to underside of joists before plasterboard installed in the attic.

Also price per SqM to install airtightness tape around windows etc

    Thanks

    Jimmy

What exactly do you mean by: "underside of joists before plasterboard installed in the attic."

Windows are priced by linear meter so you will need that.
    Are you providing the material?

    Hello Calahonda
    Thanks for the reply.
Is relation to the airtightness of ceiling, we are looking to have a contractor install the air tightness membrane at ceiling level. It's a standard bungalow. So I assume the membrane is fitted to the underside of the joists. Insulation will then be rolled between and over these joists as it is a traditional cold attic. The plasterboard will then be fitted 'under' the membrane.

So my question is I suppose
What would a typical SqM price be for supply and fit of fully taped air tight membrane
What would a typical linear rate per meter for tape around windows etc.

Just trying to decide if our building contractor does it, or I get a specialist contractor, or I do it myself.

    Thanks
    Jimmy

If its only one ceiling then you wont get any specialist in to do it as they are way too busy.
You could do it yourself and learn a lot
