Just to update on this. Following several.emails where IW staff in fairness kept in touch we had 2 visits from local staff checking pressure. Turns out there were several leaks underground on a local by road nearby taking pressure from my road and  2 more leaks on my road itself.
So not ALL weather related. Leaks were being fixed over the last couple of days sp hope to see an improvement. Did end up with no water several days on the trot as pressure was affected by the draw for farms locally.
I'd encourage anyone with problems to report and follow up. It may not necessarily be just weather related
