Can anyone suggest how to fix an issue with the charge port door (the large metal one) on a 2104 Nissan Leaf not closing without a good hard shove, and even then it might take a few attempts. Sometimes locking and unlocking it helps, but I suspect the latch has shifted slightly and needs realignment, is this easy to do? I've checked that the CHAdeMO cover is closed.

Aha, but then I would have had the problem for 10 years, I'm not sure I could wait that long

(I had to check this twice)

Have you tried greasing/lubing the latch first to see if that's why it's not engaging?
