I'm assuming that the sunglasses I choose will be darkened sunglasses with a UV protection in the lens?

Girl mentioned polarisation for an extra fee? What is this and approx how much extra might it be? TIA

A standard sunglass tint will just darken things. Polarised lenses will darken everything and cut out the glare. Glare is normally what bothers people more.
Polarised lenses are great for any sort of reflections be it from water or snow etc. I think in Specsavers polarised lenses are about €70-80

Yup. IMO polaroid is well worth it.
