Moving apps from phone storage to SD card storage?

Is it difficult to move apps that were originally stored on the phone memory to a micro SD card?

Will this cure the 'Insufficient storage available' issue on my Android?

My phone internal storage memory 8GB, and my new SD card is a 32GB

    All help appreciated.

    Thanks guys :D

You can move most over, but they move back when they update at the weekend. I use an app called AppMgr III which semi-automates the process for you. I find the best thing to do is delete and reinstall snapchat and other chat apps as they cache a lot of stuff, move Whatsapp images to sd etc. Deleted Facebook and just use it in a browser as it's huge.

I think the phone model is irrelevant. It's the android version that's important.

If you go in to settings and apps and select one you may see an option to move to SD card (I don't think this is available in Marshmallow [v6]).

Failing that you can format your SD card to use as memory. Be aware that this method will erase everything that's on the card, so it's important to make a back up of it first.

Go to settings - storage - sd card - format as internal - done.

    Thank you.

Just wondering what do you mean by 'you can move most over, but they move back when they update at the weekend'. ?? :/

    Sorry :( Could you explain?

    Works on Marshmallow for me.

You can go to the trouble of moving your apps over to the SD card to save space on the internal memory, but this work normally gets undone at the weekend, which seems to be when most app updates are released. The app gets reinstalled on the internal memory as part of the automatic update process.

Check that your internal storage is not cluttered with stuff. Use an app like Ccleaner to analyse / clean. Use something like ASUS File Manager to check your file system (especially Downloads) and get rid of unnecessary stuff. Move the rest to a folder on SD.

Consider backing everything up and doing a factory reset. I have found this to be a great way of cleaning up my phone after I back it up to SD. I then restore after the reset to get my apps back. Be careful though, this may not restore messages in apps like Viber and WhatsApp that are stored on the phone, so back them up individually so you can restore if you wish.
