I was recently blocked on quora for mentioning the Haitian racial massacres of the white inhabitants.

The comment I made that was considered offensive was referring to the fact the haitians did not only massacre those in control and oppressing them, but other white people considered peasants that where also being oppressed.

Whats wrong with the world seriously, why is it okay to criticize one people for its historical massacres based on race, and not another?

I have never started a thread slandering muslims, you must be thinking of someone else, I have views regarding the wars in the middle east that differ from most peoples understanding, You may say I am a "conspiracy theorist".

I then went on to state that most of the people who where killed where not slave masters but where white peasants, a lot of them where Irish peasants too. (I did not say they where Irish in the original post but I will state that for you now since I am sure you understand the oppressive regime Irish people where under at the time, I just stated they where white peasants and left it at that)

Well....while there perhaps isn't anything overtly racist about what you write there from my limited understanding what you're referring to is an uprising of slaves. A bloody uprising by all accounts but certainly not an unjustified uprising.

I can certainly see how it would be seen in a different light as for example the Spanish decimating the Incas.

If you don't see the difference between the uprising of an oppressed group against their oppressors and the massacring of the oppressed by the oppressors (as would have been the case in most (if not all) cases by the French, Spanish and British) then I don't really know what to tell you.

Not sure it would be considered racist but it's certainly indicative of a lacking of insight of some sort.

But maybe I've got it all wrong, not particularly in the mood to be rereading the colonial history of the West Indies.
