2nd Mi Box Will Not Sign into Youtube

Bought 2 mi boxes and set one of them up last week and only got around to setting up the 2nd one today,

Did the same setup and sign into the same gmail account. At first it automatically sign into YouTube before I update the YouTube app and I can see my subscriptions but when updated I cannot sign in again.

In the app at subscriptions there’s an option to sign in which I choose then it goes to choose account and I choose my gmail account which then blinks and goes back to the sign in page again.

I tried signing out of my account in the other mi box and even renaming the “mibox3” but still no difference.
Then tried signing into a different account but it does not sign into that account either. Only way so far is if I uninstall the update and I can sign in to my original gmail and share between the 2 mi boxes. Looks like a YouTube app problem but I did a factory reinstall and the same result.

Any help with be great appreciated as it’s driving me nuts.

I couldn't sign in to the Playstore, until I did a factory reset.
Have you contacted the Xiaomi forum?

Yes tried a factory reset but still the same problem. The Youtube app just will not let me sign in but strangely the old version does. I would have let it be but when I switch off the mi box and back on again it updates the Youtube app automatically.
Yeah think I'll try the xiaomi forum, just thought it was a simple thing that I forgot to do.

Just a quick update, there’s an Oreo update for the mi box which strangely enough fixed my YouTube app sign in problem.
