Hi, I'm finding it hard to get any clarity on this...

Anyone know what the mileage / time interval for getting the belt changed on the VW 2.0 TDI 140bhp?

On a 2013 there should be no age limit, just 210k kms.

I had a dealer say 200k km, my mechanic said you'd be taking a risk and should have it changed at 100k km, but maybe they have a vested interest!

Would be very interested to hear peoples opinions on that?

Trust me, there is not conspiracy. They do not missing the old times, when timing belt last only 60 000km. If you like to be a manufacturer beta tester go ahead and drive until you can. So much as I searching from timing belt manufacturers datasheets, There is no manufacturers who ever suggest over 60 000-100 000km or 4-6 year. Yes there is the time factor too. The fleet cars can drive easily that 200 000 because they drive it within 1 year time and there is no problem. But you driving it 10 years and the belt are too old before the max mileage. So that 200k does not apply for you. And do not forget your holidays abroad. On that time the timing belt sitting on the same position and shorten your timing belt life.
