Cancel order after it's been shipped?

I have ordered something from the UK and have just discovered it elsewhere for much cheaper. It's actually from the same business but it's in the German version of the company on ebay.de.

I really want to cancel it and buy it from Germany but it was shipped just today and it's going to parcel wizard. Is there anything I can do?

Your purchase is complete. Rather than cancelling the delivery and order, you'll have to return it, if possible, instead.

You can send it back for refund but you will have to pay the shipping costs to return and it will be up to the retailer to refund their original shipping charge if there was one.

Thanks. That's what I thought. It was free shipping to the UK but £40 to Ireland, which is why I sent it to Parcel Wizard. It would be very expensive to return, I'd say.

I suppose I can't ask PW to reject it and return to sender, can I?

Or is there any point in contacting the shop to see if they will refund me the difference? It's the same company that's offering it cheaper in Germany, including the cost of shipping to Ireland.

Not really. You agreed to listed price and paid.

No harm in politely asking of course, but they're under no obligation to do anything for you.

Usually the only orders that can be cancelled after shipping would be deliveries using UPS/similar courier. The sender can cancel the delivery and get it returned instead.

Is this case, you could explain as its the same company and they may give you the value of the difference, but chances are low. Even Amazon make you return and reorder in these cases.

Thanks for the replies. I could ask politely but they'd more than likely do nothing and it would just irritate me more. I'll just leave it be and learn a lesson.
