I recently upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy Y to the Samsung Galaxy J3.
have kept my same SIM card and phone number.

However, I am having great difficulty in setting up my Instagram and WhatsApp on my new phone.

I have kept my old passwords and login details from my Samsung account.

However, when I try to login on my new phone, it won't let me log in.

Anyone able to help? :(

Thanks!

You should probably put all your issues into one thread, or I suspect we will have another few threads come tomorrow :D

What problems are you actually having? Your Samsung account and Instagram should be a simple login. If you've forgotten your password, there will be an option to reset.

WhatsApp sends an automated code to your phone to log you in. If you didn't back up your messages on WhatsApp on your old phone, then there won't be any to restore on the new one.

My problem is this, when I go to my App Store (on new phone) and try to download my apps from there using my Samsung Account (Samsung account was set up on my old phone) with the email address and password for it, it's not letting me log in to the App store to download the apps.

I'm getting 'stuck' on actually downloading the apps,eg. WhatsApp, Instagram to my new phone.

Do I use the Samsung Account username or my gmail account user name and password to access AppStore to download apps?

Or will it not allow me login because I'm using a different phone to the one I used to setup my accounts?? :(

Sorry I'm not very technically minded. :P

Your Samsung account and Google account are two separate things. You need to log in to your Google account to access Google Play. It should probably ask you whether you want to restore all of the apps that you had on your old phone once you have done this.

Is the 'Google account' email, the email that ends in '@gmail.com'?

Will I still be able to sign into my Google account, etc on my new phone, even though Google account was set up on my old Samsung? Is there something I need to do with my old phone to make sure Google account sets up on new phone? Do I need to 'log out' of Google account on old phone first?

Sorry for all the questions :)
