is there water connection pass farm gate

    hi all
    going to rent a 10 acre plot of land .
    land has no water was sold recently and am told there is water supply passing gate
    how do I find out is a local scheme or irish water that's pass gate
    just going to cut for silage and graze with yearling in September time and next spring
    don't live near land so can't find out of locals

    Would the landowner or auctioneer know who to ask?

    Usually there are markers for the meters on the side of the road where the mains run.
    Might get a clue on them.
