In same boat myself. Not sure whether to trade in old vicon against refurbished 500kg one or go all out and spend 2k on a new Cosmo or Rocha

Just remember fertilizer eats galvanised steel very quickly.
A galvanised spreader is good but will need washed after every use and not left overnight.

    Keep your old Vicon, Robson99.
You'll be allowed bugger all for it, and they're handy to have if just to sow a bit of grass seed.
I like Kuhn/Rauch spreaders, good paint finish and stainless disks, vanes and shields.

Have a 1995 model Rauch from new. Starting to rust a little now alright, but excellent machine.

Deffo I think I got it home and all for around 600 euro carries 3 big bags which is great for land rented a few miles away as fertiliser can be left hand home I'd be afraid of some getting stolen

I picked up a vicon 6 bag for 50 quid on eBay uk about 5 years ago. There was loads of them on it. Took a punt on it n it was perfect. Pallet charge was about e80 iirc. Worth a look in my opinion
