Brain calcification - migraines, difficulty thinking

So this is a 'for a friend' that is actually for a friend!

Long story short, a girl in Toronto that I know got very ill very quickly a few weeks back, went to the doctor then hospital over ti and it was found she had a 100mm x 20mm shadow on her brain. After a really scary few weeks it came back that it was calcification, which all things considered was one of the better results.

Short term though, the problem is that she is still experiencing problems - nausea, no appetite, weakness, blurry vision, and point blank looking at words when reading but her brain not computing correctly meaning she has to read it over and over and over, making her already severe headaches worse.

So it's a bit of a two-pronged question but does anyone know a) what can be done to help against this calcification (she'll be getting plenty of medical advise of course, but just in case anyone has anything to offer) and b) perhaps much more importantly in the short term, has anyone here any ideas that could help against the headaches? She started a new job just before this episode and is due to start college in September which without going into too much detail is a serious achievement after what she's had to overcome in life already, and I really don't want to see this hurt her any more.

As deeply concerned and horribly worried as I am about some of this because she means an awful lot to me, I really, really, really would appreciate if anyone has any ideas about what to do for the headaches/dizziness/temporary inability to read, or even experiences from people you might have known who went through similar please do let me know, it would mean the world! :)
