Do i need planning and what are the chances to get it?

    Hi to All,
    i have a question :
    stell shed 8m x 9m, in town ,on its own small plot , electricity connection...used by the previous owner as a storage for shop . freehold on folio now. no planning permision on it as it was build prior 1977 maybe earlier ,but that as far i could prove it.
    building structure is in poor shape . galvanized sheets rusty , beams quite rotten. still standing straight thou...
    Do i need planing to repair all the damaged parts without changing materials used, size or usage?

    Gut feeling is yes, Planning needs to be regularised.
    The unit is currently unauthorised but it may be in a state of unenforceable action from the Council.
