Hadn’t really heard of them, their website says they’re around for 17 years, their website seems to be around for 9 years.

There is a capital motors in D12 which has ceased, and another in Co. Kildare 3 years ago which is a trading name of a company set up 13 years ago.

This company actually, who under declared VAT by €200k

That's them, they are County motive power trading as capital Motors. Was looking at something on their forecourt but I'm a little worried now.

I think you should just go have a look and see, they are AA approved and SIMI members (not that it means much), they have a proper glass showroom, reception, kids play area, its a proper setup with good quality cars and warranties. I know the family who own it and I’m not sure if its the same Capital Motors as the one your referring to

It's them alright, although I can't imagine why they would trade under the same name after that.
Anyway, I'll visit their show room and see what's what, other than the vat declaration they seem to have a good reputation.

I'd consider a VAT under declaration as a strong sign of dishonesty. I wouldn't deal with someone who I know to be dishonest.

I suppose that's reasonable enough, although I wouldn't see that affecting the end user.
No one likes the tax man

Hi, I was wondering if you dealt with them? They do good adverts, but that in itself can be a red flag?

Never tempted to pay the plumber in cash for a reduced price?

Hi, I did in the end.
No idea about their ads, but we had a grand experience all very pleasant and professional.
Got a great car at a good price and it hasn't burst into flames yet!
