What would your ideal line up be for a day of radio. What presenters would you like to have on the wireless throughout the day?

For me newstalks from a few years ago was quite good.

This is my ideal. Mix of NT and RTE1 mostly

7am-9am Rachel English and Dobbo with Ivan Yates for insight in to FG party politics.
    9am-11am Pat Kenny
11am-1230pm George Hook with his usual weekly guests (minus Kiera Kelly)
1230-230pm Henry McKeane with his own show.
230pm-430pm Marty Morrissey light entertainment show.
430pm-7pm Mary Wilson, Sarah McInerney and Gavin Reilly

    Obviously politics is my interest.

Pat Kenny would be my favourite presenter there with Henry McKeane coming second.

What would your ideal line up be?

    Breakfast - Cathal Funge
    Lunchtime - Claire Beck
    Drive time - Joe Donnelly
    Evening - Kelly-Anne Byrne.

I'd throw Ed Smith in there somewhere as well.

A fair shout but I could`nt have Henry McKean or Marty for 2 hours. What about Anton Savage or Matt Cooper, would they fit in for you ?

John Creedon & Pat Kenny would be a must for me.
My guilty pleasure is Marty Whelan on Lyric FM. I know he’s not popular with the majority, but his show on Lyric has a loyal audience.

Marty Morrisey for 2 hours! My idea of torture-I can’t listen to him for 2 mins

Fair point. I enjoy Henry McKeane vox pop but 2 hrs might be pushing it. Not really a fan of Cooper. I find his voice grating and his interview style too adversorial. He also thinks he's smarter than he is.

If I could extend PKs hours I would. He handles the serious political talk as easily as the light fluffy stuff. He really is an underrated broadcaster imo.

Tbh as long as Paul Williams, Chris Donoghue, Kiera Kelly are kept off the airwaves I'm happy enough.

McKean had his own 1 hr show on NT before which was diabolical.

His shtick doesn't work in that type of environment. He's much better suited to the roving reporter role.
