Pop up ads / virus

Tried downloading an app earlier. It said it installed and didnt show up. Ive been getting full screen pop up ads since. Any way of getting rid of it?

Did you try turn it off and back on again or force close the browser? Were you downloading it from the Play Store or somewhere else?
