There's a couple of badminton clubs about but not sure they play in Shankill.

Cycling, lots of options, great acess down past greystones and some good climbs or into wicklow via enniskerry depending on your ability.

Shankill is a great base for cycling. South to / through Bray or over the M50 on any of several bridges to Stepaside, Enniskerry, Glencullen etc. N11 very close and has lanes all the way into town. Some great short climbing around Killiney hill as well. And Dart to get anywhere else with the bike too!
