I have an Android phone at the moment. (Samsung Galaxy Y) and want to upgrade to an Iphone.

Just wondering is it a difficult process to upgrade? Will I need a new SIM card to upgrade to an Iphone?
Can I still keep my existing number if I upgrade from Android to Iphone?
Will I be able to keep my existing App accounts from my Android, e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.?

    Thank you. :)

Same SIM if you already have a nano. Otherwise go to your phone provider to request one (think you may need to do that)

Yes you can keep your phone number.

Yes you can reuse any app account so long as there's an app on the Apple store (so yes for Instagram etc)

Will I need a new SIM card to upgrade to an Iphone? Probably, depends on what iPhone

Can I still keep my existing number if I upgrade from Android to Iphone?
    Yes

Will I be able to keep my existing App accounts from my Android, e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.?
Yes, provided they’re available on the apple store and are not dedicated android apps. None of the ones you mentioned are, you might just need to sign in with your gmail or google account

Suggest you back up all your numbers to google or check on how to import numbers to a new iPhone from android.

Just upgrade to a decent Android.

You will lose your WhatsApp conversations going between android and iOS, although I think there are some apps that claim to do it, if you're willing to let them view your messages.

Thanks all. :) Any Android based phones would you recommend to upgrade to?

As above, if I upgrade to a newer Android will I get to keep my WhatsApp, Instagram accounts, etc.?

    Thanks Cina.

What Samsung do you recommend an upgrade to?

On my current phone, I frequently have problems with 'Insufficient Storage Available' whenever I download new Apps, so is there any Android, or Iphone with decent storage for downloading Apps?

What's your budget? Bill pay or buying outright?

Seems like relatively basic use would cover the bases for you. Nokia 7 Plus would be a great choice and with regular updates keep the phone current for years to come.

    I would be paying outright.

Willing to pay up to 100 euro, more if necessary.

I love my Apps on my current phone, e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp. But on my current phone I have had problems with 'Insufficient Storage Available' when downloading new apps, so is there any Android with decent storage for downloading new Apps?

    Recommendations?

100 euro won't get you far. Maybe a Huawei P8 Lite / Cheap Nokia 2 or something but much better to stretch to 150 or so for a Xiaomi phone with decent RAM and memory. How were you going to get an iPhone for 100? A 2nd hand iPhone 5C?

Thank you. Meant to say up to 100 or more, if necessary. :P

Can I keep my existing number and SIM card with the Xiaomi phone, as well as keeping my existing Apps, Instagram, WhatsApp,etc?

Yes you can. They're the best value-for-money Android phones at the moment!
