screen not working properly

I thought i had a virus for a while untill i noticed it was my screen. Very slow at operating then the colors started to fade. Now i have to put pressure at the bottom of the screen with some tissue as in forcing it out for it to work properly.

Would this be a case of just buying a new screen and installing it myself or would it be a sign of something worse.

I had a 2 yr replacement warrently on the laptop but i think its now gone past this date. If i am still valid for a replacement, how long does this take. I have all my work information on it and cant be without it for more than a day TBH.

What laptop is it? Make, model, and spec.

I mean it sounds like a screen issue. Whether it has failed, or the connections aren't right is hard to say...

Its a HP pavilion. Its got worse since posted this thread. Have to force both sides of the laptop screen for the screen to work otherwise its all blury or even a white screen.

If you need access to vital work you could should connect laptop to an external monitor/tv,constantly putting pressure on the screen with tissue may cause further problems. Check if there is a HDMI connection on the laptop and connect to tv temporarily until you can get it sorted
