I have a Case 844 - 4 wheel drive, would it be capable of carrying 2 bales one on the front with a loader and one on the back.

The bales will be well wilted

why would you wreck the tractor ,get the loan of a double bale handler for the back and see will it handle that

In my experience, yes, with a proper loader braced back to the back axle and at a slower speed than you would bring one bale, unless the ground is very level. Overall, I reckon it's equivelent to about one and a half bales per run compared to a single carrier. Certainly more satisfying though and even if you have to go a bit slower, you'll take less of a hammering in the seat
