Smartphone quiz in the Cove on a Monday night is a good one.

They also have pen & paper one there most Thursdays.

I was there 'once' a few years ago I will admit and there was probably five minutes between each question regardless of how easy they were to answer!
Too long and overly drawn out for my liking!

Good reason to put other people (who are specifically looking for a quiz to go to) off going...

The quiz there is 80 questions in 4 rounds of 20, and typically starts a little after 9 and is over by 11.30-ish...

80 questions!! That says it all really!

A fund raiser for the location!

Smartphones have been the ruination of pub quizzes! How do they work that quiz? Fastest Googler or what?

Well duh, it's a response to that very fact...

The quiz is played on a smartphone per team, using a downloaded app, and connected to a dedicated wifi network. If you try to go googling on that device you'll have to disconnect from the quiz app and the guy running the quiz will see that. No other devices are allowed to be in anyone's hand during the round or you'll get fúcked out of it, and the regulars won't be shy about telling you to put a phone down...

It actually works very well, proof of which is that it's been running for a good 5 years at this stage and there's usually between 12 and 18 teams, all year round.

Free to enter, €100 to the winners, and you can have as many / few on a team as you like.
