Attic conversion

Just bought a 3 bed semi in west cork and was looking at putting a small staircase into the box room to access the attic as its twice the size of the main bedroom and making it into a kind of recreation area for the 2 smallies when theyr abit bigger! All that i would be doing would be adding veluxs to either side of the roof and wiring in sockets!(contractor) Basically put in maybe a telly for movies and a giant bean bag and toys no major weight! And it has been floored already but i would put down timber flooring to make it look cleaner! Is there any regulations that would affect what i plan to do?

yes there are as its now a three storey, so fire regs apply.

as well as that u may need PP for the veluxes
