If i type web address into an internet explorer the site comes up

But if i type the same thing into google its nowhere to be seen

How long has it been live?

You may need some SEO for it to appear in Google search.

I can access it on google chrome fine but its not in any search results , as someone has said already might take a couple of weeks before googles way of doing seo picks it up

You can submit your url to Google if it hasn't been indexed yet.

Ya it just takes a while.
Google finds new sites by finding links to your site on other webpages.

Since you linked it here it will help, you should also attempt to get the url listed on some other related websites. If you know anyone else with a website ask them to potentially add your url for a referral link.
