Hi would anyone recommend a type of timber that can be used outside to say build a greenhouse or different projects that would be painted.

Larch is good to use outside, withstands the elements fairly well, can be bought treated and is reasonably cost effective. Teak is also great but usually a good bit more expensive.

Teak will be a no due to cost. I've seen larch used on different things alright.
