This is a personal issue for me. I would like people's opinions regarding this.
If someone went on a date with another person (both had a great time and said this, there was chemistry and attraction on both sides). But one person is going away for 9 weeks.
What normally would the person that's going away do (keep in touch, have no contact, etc)? I know one date is not a lot but there was something about this person. (For the record it's not me going away.) I would just like people's opinions on what they would do. Thanks

Leave it, it was one date. See what happens in 9 weeks time, not that long. You could potentially ruin it by texting through their holiday

Why not ask them if they'd like to keep in touch? It's irrelevant what any else thinks, either they want to keep in touch, or they don't.

Keep in touch, but with no expectations of fidelity or waiting around.

If you are both single in 9 weeks and both feel like you want a second date, go for it. If one of you meets someone else, good for them and wish them well.

9 weeks is both long and short. I think leave the texting etc off while away as you could end up using a lot of headspace about it in that time and essentially ruin anything that is to come. After 9 weeks then you can resume the contact ?

If they dont text within 2 weeks send a short message asking how theyre doing, how the trip is going and you hope theyre having fun. If they dont respond you have your answer.
