Applied for the Sky TV SIRO trial the other day and was phoned by the Trial reps. Bray SIRO fibre should go live tomorrow Fri 15th June and the Eircode checker will start showing available for those adresses who can get it afaik.

I posted this in the general SIRO thread but I'm not sure how much visibility it has for Bray folks.

After some further research, I have a feeling I myself will be out of luck wrt the trial. I'm near the seafront with overhead powerlines and I realised that I havent seen ESB lads running new cables near me in about a decade so unless they were thinking very far ahead, I'm likely out of luck for another while at least.

I'd imagine its those with dark fibre already in underground ducts in Bray Housing estates that'll be in luck from tomorrow.

Still keeping my fingers and toes crossed though! :D

Interesting. Our estate has ducting under the pavements, so should be relatively easy to install. My only concern is how long the fibre optic cable from the meter box to the entry point can be, as I'd like it to enter into my office/study rather than the bedroom at the front of the house.

I've signed up on the SIRO website just now, so hopefully I'll get news tomorrow.

Nothing in my inbox yet, and entering my Eircode tells me it's not available.
