    Hi,

I've recently taken over the management of a custom built website, the development team who built the website have included the Google/analytics script on the website. The problem is that nothing is showing up in Google Tag Manager, any ideas on what to do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Only visiting now, sorry for the late reply.

The core for analytics and tag manager are totally separate.

The tag manager code has two parts to it - one in the <head> section and the other in the <body>.

You have to set up an account for you site on TM and get the code from there.

Is the analytics code working - ie are you getting data back to your Google analytics account?

Use the Google Tag Assistant Chrome plugin to make sure it's firing on the site correctly, also.
