Hi, I've been in employment for 5 years, currently full time. My current company is letting me go shortly but my boss is considering taking me on in a separate company he has. There is also a chance i'll just be let go.

My question is in terms for financial aid, as I'm not on any current allowance/benefit (social welfare or the like), if I'm let go from my current position and go to college instead of signing on or job searching, will I get any help from the government to return to school? I'm almost 29 and I really want to go back to school and educate myself so I can go and get a career.
