Weird broadband issue

    Hey everyone,

    Hopefully someone can help me out.

    WE got eir boradband installed a couple of months ago using the
    D2000 modem speeds are only 5mbs {pretty poor but its ok}

    the issue is after about 4/6 days the speed drops to less than 1mbs but heres where it gets weird if i reset the modem it stays at 1mbs but if i change the modem to an old
    D1000
    the speeds go back up to 5mbs instantly

    then after 5/6 days the speeds go back to 1 mbs and i have to swap modems again

    been onto eir who are no real help to be honest.

    what could the issue be.

    Sounds a little like DLM, except that isn't done in the republic. Strange one.


    Login to the D1000 and save the line stats (attenuation, noise margin etc - screenshot is good). Let the issue arise then screenshot the stats again. Post both back here.
