Is there any rule of thumb when measuring for 2nd fix install of skirting, architrave and doors?

    measure.
    mark up.
    get distracted.
    forget which line
    measure again.
    cut.
    scratch head ,
    measure
    cut again
    cut a wee bit off
    bugger , start again
