The postman arrived and I got a letter from the Dept of Ag stating that "an accidental disclosure of your personal information occurred on 16 May". Did anyone else get a letter?

I got a letter as well would see no reason to panic. It seems from reading between the lines they send detail of some participants to the wrong faculitors and taht this information has been deleted by the faculitors involved.

    They should have disclosed:
On what date did the breach occur.
    How it actually occurred.
By what means did it occur. Email etc.
How Was The breach noticed and by whom.
What was done to retrieve your personal data and when did this happen.
They should have notified you straight away.
Not fair to say that this would be disclosed anyways.
They would be quick enough to spot your mistakes. I would find out all the above and then keep my powder dry. You never know, it might come in handy at an inspection.

Happens every day in the work place where an email is sent to wrong person. However now a days the whole personal privacy is so important they have to report it. Noting that was disclosed that won't be disclosed at the end of the year when they publish payments to farmers.
    Nothing to worry about.
