Moving to Cork from northern ireland for work for 9 months. Anyone know of gay groups or social clubs that would be good to get to know people? Also, more challenging possibly, any rooms to rent available? Thanks

    There’s a Cork-based LGBT group on Meetup.com

Chambers is the gay bar in Cork city, and IMO Cork is much more LGBT friendly than most places in the North. There is a good support network in the city and much of the county. West Cork is very bohemian, diverse and tolerant.

And as a Northerner, Corkonians are far more likely to accept you than if you were a Dubliner. If you were a Dub you might face more hassle in Cork than being from anywhere else or LGBT!! :D
