i assume you don't intend to use sheep wire in the race as u will lose a fright of tags if you do.

if it is timber rail and you just want a working pen for 40- 50 sheep, 16 ft long and 2.5 wide is simple and handy you get into the race and work through the sheep far easier and better than trying to work from out side and imo the only way to apply clik etc correctly

You’d want it well enforced. They’d just see the daylight the other side of the wire and try and bust through it, lifting steaks and all. Sense goes out the window when their confined.

they wont flow, best use sheet material, they can see ahead only and will pour in that direction better.
you only need it 700 -800mm high.
made one 20ft, just need to add the backing gate and a splitting gate,

Heard one or two lads saying stockboard was more suitable for indoors, as it can expand and contract with the heat.
