    Hi lads!
Came across this new silage pit covering system on Facebook. Just wondering if anyone here is using it and how ye find it ?? Anyone have any opinions on it in general ?

Wifes uncle has it. Great job. Cover never stirs, no tyres needed and pit covered in no time. I can't remember what he paid though.

Edit: apologies just watched the video. That man has one of the real heavy green over covers that dont need ballasting.
That system above looks as slow as throwing tyres.

I was talking to a local man here who knows the man selling that system and has seen it. He said it was a balls of a system.

Any particular reason he thought it was a poor system? I wouldn’t mind it being as slow as throwing out tyres if I thought it would do a way better job at preserving the pit & reducing waste

The end product was good, easy to tighten down on the pit. But the setting up of the whole system took ages apparently and need 3 peole minimum.

If it's as slow as tyres it would want to be cheap. Once enough tyres are put on and the plastic pulled there tends to be little waste. To protect from crows zill covers are a mighty job but weight still needed

Looks like it would get easier to put together with practice but it looks like it couldn’t be too cheap

What a complete waste of time.

Hope no one wasted their money on this.
