Land registry compliant maps

I'm in the process of buying a house, a 3bed bungalow on an acre. I'm being told that all the paperwork and contracts are ready for finalising but that they are waiting on a land registry compliant map.
What sort of timeframe roughly should I be looking at before my solicitor has it as I feel I'm being given the run around. I'm 3 weeks waiting on this as it stands. Went sale agreed at Christmas
    Thanks

The vendor should be having an Engineer complete this map.... If they have any interest in selling, they should be getting this done ASAP and considering the amount of legal documentation involved in a sale, this should easily be one of the first things ready.
A new compliant map will only be required where you are buying something other than an existing complete plot as currently registered.

Would the fact that the acre is split into two plots by a right of way have anything to do with it? Surely that would be on the existing maps as it is or is my logic way off.
Say for arguments sake a new map had to be done out, how long should that process take?

It might be a case of the acre plot still being registered in one plot within a larger field or it could be down to the right of way as you say.
I usually turn them around in 1 to 2 weeks but that is just due to normal work flows. In emergency, it could be completed same day.
