New puppy coughing

    Hi,

    Just got our new 8 week old pup the other day and he seems to have developed a chesty cough. Didnt seem to have it when we were got him.

    Is this common or should we see a vet?

    Hopefully it's something relatively straightforward like kennel cough, though that tends to be a dry cough rather than chesty. The problem you have here is that it could be any number of things that could be more serious. However, even if it is something straightforward, with such a young pup, you'd be best advised to get it checked out with your vet.
